When you think about investments ... what comes to your mind?
The stock market?
Real estate?
Retirement accounts?
If they did...
You're missing out on the most important investment of them all...
One that has the highest return on investment...
I'm talking about the investment you make in yourself.
It's the only investment you can make that will guarantee you a better life as a whole.
When you invest in yourself...
You're investing in your future.
When I'm talking about making the investment in yourself... what I really mean is prioritizing your self-development.
It's the investment you're making to improve your skill set...
It's the investment you're making to improve your health...
It's the investment you're making to improve your knowledge...
...and anything else that accompanies becoming a better human.
There are a lot of different ways you can invest in yourself...
But if you're going to start anywhere...
Here are 6 ways I like to invest in myself...
I like to credit a lot of my success in life to reading.
When I say reading, I mean non-fiction, personal-development focused books.
Not Harry Potter...
The books you read should be geared toward developing your mindset...
Expanding your knowledge...
Or helping you adopt a new perspective.
I prioritize reading 10 pages a day...
That's it.
That's all it takes.
At that pace, you'll be surprised at how much valuable information you can accumulate in such a short amount of time.
No book you read will ever be a waste of your time…
As long as you can pull at least one valuable piece of information or sentence that makes you think differently…
You’ll come out on top.
There is a very clear connection between the health of your body and the health of your brain.
If you aren’t making an effort to eat food that’s good for you and keep your body healthy…
You are leaving a lot of your potential out on the table.
I’m not saying you have to go out and follow some crazy restrictive food plan…
All I’m saying is you should be conscious of what you’re putting in your body.
Especially if you have health or fitness goals, this will be the most important component to having success in those things.
You are what you eat…
That much is very true.
To follow up on the dieting component…
You should be exercising to keep your body in peak physical and mental shape.
How much more could you contribute to yourself and the people around you if you were in the best shape of your life?
A LOT more.
There's no question about that.
But there’s more to it than that.
Exercising is a way to challenge yourself physically and mentally.
It will help you build the discipline and perseverance you need to be successful in any area of life.
…and like anything else...
The effort and level of execution you put into one thing will bleed into other things as well.
How you do one thing is how you do everything.
As cliche as that sounds…
It’s also very true.
While reading is the best way to do this…
There are other ways that you can make sure you’re taking in good information that will help you learn and develop...
Podcasts being one of them.
I even happen to host a podcast called REAL AF, where I cover hot button issues, and talk about what it takes to be successful in life.
You can check it out here.
That said, even though you can fill your brain with good information…
You need to make sure you’re simultaneously avoiding bad information.
Mainstream media outlets…
Hours of scrolling through social media…
Pointless YouTube videos…
TV shows and streaming services…
The list goes on and on.
You have to be careful what you’re feeding your brain.
It’s crucial for safeguarding your development and success in life.
If you know me, you know I’m a huge advocate of the Law of Attraction.
There have been plenty of experiences in my life that have convinced me it is 100% factual.
If you can spend time every day painting a picture in your brain of exactly what you want in life…
…and you put in the work to support those visions…
Visualization can be an extremely powerful tool to manifest the things you want most.
It’s going to be difficult at first…
Visualization is not something that comes naturally to most people.
You have to picture your life in vivid detail…
What kind of house do you live in?
What kind of car do you drive?
What kind of career do you have?
How do you spend your day?
Experience the events through all of your senses…
Make the experience feel as real as possible.
That’s when you’ll know you’re doing it right.
What’s The Power List?
The Power List is the ultimate success tool that you can use every day to invest in yourself and progress toward your goals and dreams.
It’s a simple strategy ... but it’s very effective.
The Power List is a daily list of critical tasks you must complete to win the day.
Not checklist tasks…
Not habits you already have…
It’s neither of those things.
These tasks should be things that are geared toward your personal development and your goals.
If you complete all your critical tasks … you win the day.
If you fail to complete all your critical tasks … you lose the day.
The Power List puts the scoreboard in front of you at all times.
The point is to build the habit of winning.
Over time, you’ll form new habits out of your tasks and move on to new tasks.
You’ll be shocked at how much progress you can make by following The Power List.
Your biggest goals and dreams all start with the investment you make in yourself.
Do you want to build the life you’ve always wanted for yourself?
You have to start taking your personal development seriously.
It’ll make your relationships better…
It’ll make your professional life better…
It’ll build your confidence…
It’ll develop your mentality…
It'll improve every area of your life...
But only if you commit to it ... and invest in yourself.
So what’s stopping you?
Do you feel stuck?
Do you feel like you're far behind everybody else?
Do you feel like you're wasting your life?
Do you feel like you're just floating through life until your final [...]
