We all want to be successful in life.
We all want to be financially well-off...
We all want to do great things...
We all want to reach our goals...
Yet statistically, most people are living paycheck to paycheck.
Most people just can't figure out why things aren't going great or developing for them...
Do you ever feel the same way?
If so, I'll tell you why...
There has never been somebody who set their goal to be a legitimate billionaire who didn’t at least become a millionaire.
When I say legitimate, I mean they committed all their actions, efforts, and thoughts to becoming a billionaire.
Yet, when I talk to people and ask them how much money they want to make…
98% of them say $100,000.
Which is why they will never make $100,000.
You will always perform slightly under what it’s going to take for you to reach your biggest goals.
That’s why you have to set massive goals.
By that, I’m talking about goals that are so big that you have a problem believing in them...
...but guess what...
You probably won’t reach those goals.
In fact, you’re going to fall somewhere short of them ... but wherever you end up will be so much better than where you are, because you're setting unrealistic goals.
When you set unrealistic goals, you have to take massive action.
It forces you to go out, kick ass, and actually accomplish big things.
If you fall a little bit short…
You will still be in a much better place than you would be if you set realistic goals.
Nobody has gone out and set a goal to make $100,000 … and instead they ended up making $200,000...
Or $500,000…
Or anything over $100,000.
If you think about your goals like this…
You’re thinking about them the wrong way.
You have to plan ahead, and by planning ahead, you have to think of a life in your head that’s so great that even if you fall short…
You’re going to be in a much better place than everybody else.
I know people told you to set realistic goals…
But realistic goals get you nothing other than mediocre and realistic results.
If this is you…
You have to stop setting your goals so small.
Small and attainable goals will give you a small and obtainable life...
One that you will hate.
That's a fact.
I want you to take a moment to imagine what your dream life would look like.
What is everything you’d want in order to feel happy and accomplished beyond measure?
Once you have the idea of exactly what you want out of life…
Take the lifestyle…
The achievements…
The relationships…
The cars…
The house…
The career…
…and whatever else it may be.
Then multiply it by 10...
Even if you don't want a lifestyle that big.
Remember, it doesn’t matter what you want…
If you set your goals at what you want…
You’ll never get it.
Even if you don’t fall short…
You’ll never exceed the goal.
So make sure your goals are so massive that even you don’t believe you can reach them.
Establishing your goals is only half the battle.
Real goals require daily actions to make them a reality.
You can’t wish for your goals to come true…
You have to work for them.
That goes for anything you want in life.
I’m an advocate for breaking your goals down into tasks that you can focus on every day that will move you closer to your end goal.
This is something I’ve done every day for over 20 years…
I turned it into a tool I call the Power List.
You can reach your goals if you just focus on 5 critical tasks every single day.
Here’s how you get started…
The first thing you have to do is reverse engineer your goals.
Break them down into yearly milestones…
Monthly milestones…
Weekly milestones...
All the way down into daily tasks that you have to accomplish if you want to reach your goals…
These are your critical tasks.
Pick 5 tasks that are most important.
If you complete all 5 tasks in the day…
You win the day.
If you fail to complete all 5 tasks…
You lose the day.
The entire purpose of the Power List is to develop the habit of winning every single day.
That’s what it takes for you to reach your goals.
When you win enough days…
You win the week.
When you win enough weeks…
You win the month.
When you win enough months…
You win the year.
When you win enough years…
You win in life.
Get it?
Reaching your goals comes down to your daily actions.
That’s it.
That’s the power of the Power List.
But it doesn’t stop there…
Eventually, your critical tasks will become second nature to you ... which is a good thing.
It means you are ready to take on new critical tasks to focus on every day.
The simple rule of thumb is after 21 days of executing a task, you keep doing the task, but replace it on your Power List with a new critical task that will help you reach your goals.
That's because the task has become a habit...
...and you should be looking to form as many positive habits that will push you toward your goals as possible.
This is the best way to fast-track you toward accomplishing literally anything you want in life.
Along the journey, as you further develop yourself and your self-belief...
You’ll start to realize that the goals you originally had were much smaller than you’re capable of achieving.
This is all part of the process of personal growth and development.
Your goals will change…
Your mindset will change…
Your potential will evolve…
Keep going.
You will never be done reaching your goals and your maximum potential.
Losers stop at just hitting their goals.
Winners push far past their goals and continue to reach for more...
...and as you get closer to your goals…
So will you.
Setting massive goals isn’t just the best way to set goals…
It’s the only way if you actually want the things you say you want in life.
Setting attainable goals will give you a life like everybody else.
If you want to accomplish extraordinary things in life…
Set massive goals and stick to accomplishing 5 critical tasks every day.
Because even if you fall short…
You’ll still be in a much better place than if you set "realistic" goals.
That’s a guarantee.
