I’ve been at rock bottom.
I’ve been there in my business…
I’ve been there in my life…
...and it sucks.
There have been times when I thought nothing was going to work…
There have been times when I couldn’t see the big vision…
There have been times when I’ve felt completely dead in the water…
…and if you’re going through the same thing…
Just know this…
It’s normal.
This feeling of hitting rock bottom may seem horrible in the moment…
But there are actually a lot of great things that can come as a result of hitting rock bottom.
Hitting rock bottom can feel like the end of the line.
The reality is, rock bottom is often the mark of a new beginning.
...But it all depends on how you choose to act when you hit rock bottom.
You can sit on your hands...
Play the victim...
...and confine yourself to a life of suffering and frustration.
Or...
You can recognize it as an opportunity to make a change and begin pursuing the life you ultimately want.
I recommend you do the latter.
Hitting rock bottom can be an excellent catalyst for your growth.
It's up to you to treat it as such.
First, you should know this…
You can only go down so far.
When you can’t fall any further down...
You only have one direction you can go from there ... up.
This is a great thing.
Because when you start coming out of the rut…
You’ll be even stronger.
Here's what you need to know when you do hit rock bottom…
There are three things that will eventually help push you in the right direction again…
When you’re at rock bottom, eventually things will start to make sense…
It’s like falling off the bed when you’re fast asleep and waking up to the realization that you’re on the floor…
You finally come to your senses.
When you stop lying to yourself…
When you stop making excuses…
You realize what you did to get to rock bottom…
…and you now know exactly what you need to do to climb out of the hole.
These are the moments that will have a significant impact on the rest of your life.
After this moment really sinks in…
Another amazing thing will happen…
When things fall apart and people give up on you…
You begin to get desperate for change.
You start listening to others…
You start accepting help…
All because you humbled yourself to the process of getting better.
When you’re at rock bottom, you feel useless and clueless.
This is a great thing…
Because it very quickly becomes a catalyst for change.
There is nothing you’ll want more than to change…
By any means possible.
Once you have this motivation, and start moving forward…
Nothing can stop you.
This is the biggest upside to hitting rock bottom.
When you feel dead in the water ... you’re at the bottom.
It puts you in a position to wake up, brush yourself off, and get moving in the right direction.
Once you do this...
You will gain the perspective and drive to completely dominate in everything that you do.
The reason why some people win super big when they come back from rock bottom is because the journey of getting to that bad place creates the tools…
The mindset…
The skills…
The determination…
The mental toughness...
…and the perseverance to win the long battle to achieve success.
I don’t know one self-made successful person that has had an easy life.
NOT ONE.
They all have a story.
But at the end of the day, it’s up to you to make things better for yourself and ultimately end up winning in life.
Oftentimes it takes reaching your lowest point to develop a true appreciation for the life you have.
It teaches you to be grateful…
Especially for the things you previously took for granted.
It also gives you a real example of what you don't want out of life.
The fear of returning to rock bottom can be a powerful tool.
...and one you can utilize to produce massive action.
Listen…
You will not stay at rock bottom forever.
Eventually, you will get a wakeup call and gain the strength to move forward again.
Just understand that your rock bottom is going to teach you what you need to dominate in life.
You have to choose to take action…
…and when you do…
You’ll start building self-worth…
…and your life will become dramatically better as a result.
Hitting rock bottom can be a turning point where you either fold…
Or forge yourself into the best version of yourself possible.
But getting yourself out of this place will not be easy.
It requires mental toughness.
...and if escaping rock bottom and overcoming any and all obstacles you're faced with in the future is important to you...
This is a skill you must build.
Mental toughness is the single most important skill you need to achieve true greatness.
It's the number one thing that separates those who build a life on their terms vs those who don't.
Build mental toughness and anything will be possible for you.
I teach you exactly how to build this skill in my book, The Book on Mental Toughness.
