If you're ready to make a change in your life and have started the 75 HARD program ... That's awesome.

Be prepared. It's called 75 HARD for a reason.

It will be the single most difficult thing you do in your life.

...But it will also be the single greatest thing you ever do in your life.

75 HARD is a program designed to help you take complete control of your life by developing your mental toughness.

Mental toughness is the literal foundation in which every other skill you need to win in life is built upon.

Confidence.

Grit.

Fortitude.

Self-belief.

Self-worth.

These are all skills that will come from completing the 5 tasks required for 75 HARD every single day.

One of the 5 critical tasks on the 75 HARD program is reading 10 pages of a non-fiction, personal-development focused book ... and for good reason.

This is to sharpen and feed your mind rich information for your growth and development.

These books will give you the lessons, skills, and perspectives from those who are much further down the road than you.

Throughout my years, I've read a lot of books. More than I can count.

If you're looking for recommendations on good books you can read on the 75 HARD program ... I compiled this list.

You'll find books about everything from mindset to business strategy and more.

These aren't just books...

They are tools.

Use them wisely ... and your life will change for the better.

What Is 75 HARD?

75 HARD is a complete transformative mental toughness program. It's a bootcamp.

...and all the skills you'll develop during 75 HARD will translate to every single area of your life.

Your health...

Your productivity...

Your wealth...

Your relationship...

Every single area.

This is a program that involves 5 critical tasks you must complete and adhere to on a daily basis for 75 Days.

There can be 0 compromise.

There can be 0 substitutions.

...and if you fail on any day of the program, whether it's day 2 or day 74 ... You must restart the program from day 1.

Here are the daily requirements:

1. Follow a Strict Diet (No Alcohol or Cheat Meals)

The diet you pick is up to you. But whatever that diet is, you must stick with it. This task is meant to help you develop discipline.

2. Drink a Gallon of Water

We all know the importance of hydration. Not just for your physical health, but for your mental health too.

Your mind and body are interconnected systems. For them to both be in the best condition possible, you must take care of them.

3. Read 10 Pages of a Non-Fiction, Personal-Development Focused Book

A component to having a sharp and focused mind is feeding it the rich information necessary.

Reading will help improve your focus and build the mindset and skill set needed to dominate in life.

We are giving your brain the detox it needs from the constant barrage of negativity and propaganda we see on the internet ... and replacing it with information for your growth.

4. Take a Progress Picture

While this task may not seem important, that is the entire point. This is a small, seemingly insignificant detail in the context of the other, bigger tasks on the program.

This is to help you understand the value of not cutting ANY corners, even on the mundane, smaller tasks.

If you can maintain focus and discipline with the little details, you'll just as easily be able to tackle the other tasks. This attention to detail is a skill that will bleed into every other area of your life.

5. Complete Two 45-Minute Workouts (One Must Be Outside)

Like I said, your body and mind are interconnected. For a sharp and focused mind, you need a strong and healthy body.

This task is meant to push you outside of your comfort zone. It's also meant to teach you to execute regardless of the external conditions.

Through rain, sleet, or snow ... You must get it done. Life will rarely hand you the ideal conditions. That doesn't mean you can't get it done.

It's in these uncomfortable situations where you're able to build real mental toughness and discipline. The workouts must be at least 3 hours apart and 45-minutes long minimum.

Best Books for 75 HARD

The books that you read during the program are not for your entertainment.

These books are to develop your mindset, skill set, and perspective.

If you are not growing, you are dying.

There is no in between.

Read books that will teach you leadership.

Read books that will teach you entrepreneurship.

Read books that will help you think differently and teach you skills.

Here are some 75 HARD books to read that can help you get the most out of the program.

It seems like everyone has heard of this book, and for good reason.

Carnegie’s advice on interpersonal skills and building relationships is essential for personal and professional growth.

For this reason and more, I consider it a great book for the 75 HARD program and every area of your life.

Grit is a guide to understanding what really drives success.

It’s not talent.

It's not luck.

It's not circumstance.

It's a combination of passion and perseverance.

...Which is one of the several skills you'll develop in the 75 HARD program.

Duckworth is a psychologist who does a wonderful job breaking down why grit matters more than any natural talent or gift ever could.

This book will show you the power of a relentless and uncompromising effort in achieving anything.

But I also give you a full breakdown on why mental toughness is important and how to build it.

I also talk about my story and what eventually led me to create 75 HARD.

Picking Your Next Read for 75 HARD

Each of these book recommendations serves as more than just reading material…

If you have the right attitude, they are tools.

These tools will help completely transform your mindset and skill set ... But only if you apply them.

These books will give you the knowledge and perspective you need for 75 HARD and beyond.

Start with the books you feel will have the biggest impact.

Consider what areas you're looking to improve in...

...and pick a book that will help you in that area.

Whatever you pick...

Make sure it's something that will accelerate your personal growth.

10 pages a day will not be difficult for you when you're invested in the outcome that reading will produce for you.

Incorporating Reading into Your Daily Routine for 75 HARD

It's only 10 pages.

If you don't "have the time" ... That only communicates how ineffective you are.

If you need strategies to add it to your routine...

Here are some I put together.

Not every day is going to go perfectly for you.

Very few will.

So take these strategies to heart when you commit to 75 HARD.

1. Set a Specific Time

Choose a specific time of day for your reading.

It could be in the morning.

It could be at lunch.

It could be before bed.

No matter when you do it ... Building consistency in your timing can help you build the habit more effectively.

Sure ... It may not be possible to maintain the same time every day.

That's where discipline will be required.

But I do have another tip that can help you get it done regardless of when or where...

2. Keep Your Book With You

Have your book with you at all times.

If you find you have spare time on your hands ... Read.

There can be plenty of opportunities throughout the day to tackle this task.

If you always have your book on hand...

It can make this task far easier for you.

Remember: It's only 10 pages.

3. Choose Material That Addresses Your Weaknesses

Reading can be fun.

You may not like reading ... But it's hard not to like the potential outcomes that come with building new skills and developing yourself.

I don't enjoy reading because I think it's fun.

I enjoy reading because of the results it produces when I take the knowledge and apply it.

You will too.

Consider what you're looking to develop in and select a book that will help you in that area.

What are your weaknesses?

Reading a book to address them could help you learn the true value that reading has to offer immediately.

That can be rewarding.

...Especially when you are focused on taking complete control of your life through the 75 HARD program.

Transform Your Life with 75 HARD

Taking on 75 HARD is a commitment to becoming the best, most mentally tough version of yourself.

But 75 HARD is only the beginning.

This program isn't just a one-and-done.

The goal of the program is to help you develop mental toughness: the foundation for which all other skills are built upon.

But mental toughness is a perishable skill.

If you want to continue making progress in your life beyond the program...

You must continually challenge yourself and maintain a lot of the habits you build.

Reading is one of those habits.

The lessons and experiences you'll get from reading will change your life in and of itself.

Stick with it.

If you're unsure exactly which book to start with ... I'd highly recommend The Book on Mental Toughness.

It will teach you everything you need to know about 75 HARD and mental toughness in-depth.

...and when you're ready to move on to the next...

You will always have this list of 75 HARD books to reference.
