Most people avoid failure at all costs.

They're terrified of it.

So much to the point where a lot of them never even try out of the fear that they'll fail.

They'd rather live with regret than risk embarrassment.

...and because they're unwilling to fail...

They remain average and end up stuck with a life they never wanted.

But here's what most people can't seem to understand...

Failure is not final.

You don't fail once and completely forfeit your ability to build a great life or become successful.

This misconception is exactly what keeps people stuck in life.

The reality of failure is much different.

Without failure ... Success would be virtually impossible.

Failure will teach you far more about winning than winning ever will.

Which is why you must constantly be learning from failure to get wherever it is you're trying to go in life.

What is Failure?

Failure isn't what most people think it is.

It's not a final destination.

It's not the end of the world.

It's not proof that you're not good enough.

It's not a reason to give up.

You know what failure actually is?

It's feedback.

It's information.

It's education.

Every highly successful person you admire and look to for inspiration...

They've failed more times than most people have even tried.

That's the truth.

But instead of allowing their failures to be the reason they quit...

They extracted the lessons from their failures...

Adapted...

...and kept moving.

Why Most People Fear Failure

Most people don't actually fear failure itself.

No.

They fear looking stupid.

They fear looking weak.

They fear looking unskilled.

They fear what other people may think, say, or do as a result of them failing.

They have so much pride and ego that they are unwilling to even risk the possibility of failing...

Which is why they don't try at all.

It's ironic.

Because by not trying at all...

These people quite literally become the biggest clowns of all.

Are you seriously willing to let what other people MIGHT think, say, or do keep you from building the life you dream about?

Is your ego so fragile that instead of pursuing your goals...

You're going to forfeit them so you don't risk looking stupid in the beginning?

I have news for you...

Everyone looks stupid in the beginning.

Everyone.

...and to think that you somehow won't is one of the most arrogant thoughts you could possibly have.

Failure is a requirement for success.

There is no avoiding it.

The sooner you understand this, the better.

Because if you spend your entire life in avoidance of failure...

You will literally never win.

Ever.

If you want to build the life you dream of...

You have to expect failure and train yourself to learn from it.

How to Learn From Failure

Learning from failure isn't complicated.

The only thing it requires is a certain level of humility and self-awareness.

Here's how you can start learning from failure now:

1. Accept Responsibility

The first step in learning from failure is taking full responsibility for it.

When you fail...

Which you will...

Understand that it's your actions that produced the result.

Blaming anyone or anything else will render you unable to extract the lessons your failures are trying to give you.

Because if the failure "isn't your fault"...

You didn't do anything wrong.

But without knowledge of what you did wrong...

You won't be able to make the adjustments necessary to avoid the same mistake and win in the future.

Get it?

Swallow your pride and take ownership of the role you played in producing the failure so it doesn't happen again.

Or you can keep pointing the finger elsewhere and be a perpetual loser in life.

The choice is yours.

2. Analyze What Went Wrong

After you accept responsibility...

The second step is diagnosing what you did wrong to produce the undesirable outcome.

Not so you can beat yourself up...

But so that you can make the necessary adjustments moving forward.

Ask yourself what decisions led to the failure.

Ask yourself what skills you need to develop.

Ask yourself what information you need to learn.

Ask yourself what habits you need to change or develop.

Be honest.

Be objective.

Be thorough.

Sometimes the answers will be obvious.

Other times the answers will take time to surface.

But once you do figure out exactly where you went wrong...

You'll be able to make the necessary adjustments moving forward.

3. Adapt and Adjust

Learning from failure means taking what you learned and applying it to your strategy moving forward.

The more you fail...

The more refined your approach will be.

The more refined your approach is...

The smaller your margin for error becomes.

This is the formula for creating a winning game plan.

It's trying...

Failing...

Learning...

Adjusting...

...and repeating this process over and over again until you win.

If Thomas Edison kept testing the same failed prototype for the lightbulb over and over again...

Do you think he ever would have gotten to the prototype that did work?

Of course not.

What did he do instead?

Every single time he tested a new design...

He learned what not to do...

...and likely gained valuable insights about what to try next.

Every failure brought him one step closer to the final prototype.

But if he never made adjustments based on what each failure taught him...

We'd have no light bulb.

Similar to how if you don't make adjustments to your game plan when you fail...

You'll never be able to win.

4. Go Again

The most important part of learning from failure is getting back up and trying again.

Failure only becomes permanent when you quit.

Remember that.

When you fail...

You are simply learning a lesson that will help direct your future attempts.

Don't quit.

The Importance of Learning From Failure

You only have two choices.

You can learn from failure and utilize what you learn to win in the future...

Or you can never learn from failure and continue to lose your entire life.

With that being said...

It sounds like learning from failure is pretty important, doesn't it?

It's everything.

...and your inability to do so will cost you your life.

Humble yourself and start learning from your failures.

Failure and Mental Toughness

Even though failing is a necessary component for winning...

It doesn't make it any easier.

I get that.

Embracing your failures...

Learning from them...

...and applying the lessons requires a great deal of mental toughness.

So does winning.

Which means if you want to take your failures and use them to direct you toward your wins in the future...

You have to build mental toughness.

Mental toughness is the foundation upon which every other skill you need to win in life is built.

Confidence.

Self-Belief.

Self-Worth.

Self-Esteem.

Perseverance.

Fortitude.

Discipline.

Grit.

These are all skills you can build through the intentional development of mental toughness.

If you aren't sure where to start when it comes to developing this skill...

I suggest you read The Book on Mental Toughness.

It's a guide, resource, and tool you can refer to at any time to help build the skill of mental toughness and take complete control of your life.

In the book, I also cover the 75 HARD Program.

75 HARD is a free, transformative mental toughness program.

If you complete the program exactly as I lay it out for you with 0 compromise and 0 substitutions...

You and your life will never be the same.
