Most people live their life by what I call "The List".
"The List" is summarized in short by doing what society tells you that you "should" do in order for your life to have meaning.
Do this.
Don’t do that.
Look the way they tell you.
Act the way they tell you.
Wear what you’re supposed to wear.
Drive what you’re supposed to drive.
Fall in line.
Shut your mouth.
Do what you're told.
Growing up we are taught this is what we are "supposed to do"...usually by people that have pretty boring lives...and if we don’t do it like them...we are looked down upon in society.
But who are the people judging us?
Are they not the ones who bought into living by The List?
Are they not the ones who are too afraid to build the life they truly desire in their heart?
Are they not the ones envious of other’s courage to live life on their terms?
Quit worrying about what anyone else has to say about your life:
WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY ABOUT YOUR LIFE?
If you pick up nothing else from me...take this to heart:
Have the courage to go after what you really want.
Have the courage to be who you were meant to be.
Have the courage to break a few "rules" in order to build a life of meaning and fulfillment for YOU.
Other people cannot choose what that is going to mean to you...and too many lives are wasted because there was no reflection on the question of "What was I meant to do?" or "What is my true purpose in life?"
Living by "The List" never built ANYONE an extraordinary life experience.
If anything, it made for billions of miserable lives filled with regret.
Figure out who you are.
Break some rules.
Find your purpose.
LIVE YOUR FUCKING LIFE.
