Opportunities Are Everywhere

Most people aren't lacking opportunity.

They're walking past it every fucking day because it doesn't look like they think it should.

They want it to show up in some perfect package.

They want somebody to tap them on the shoulder and say…

“Here you go. This is your big break.”

No risk.

No uncertainty.

All the hard shit already figured out for them.

That's not how the world works.

You know what opportunity usually looks like?

It looks like work nobody wants to do.

It looks like a problem everybody keeps bitching about but nobody bothers to solve.

It looks like taking ownership when everybody else is pointing fingers.

It looks like having the conversation everybody else keeps avoiding.

It looks like stepping up when everyone around you is saying, “That's not my job.”

That's where the opportunities are.

They're not hiding.

They're sitting right in front of you.

But you're so focused on what somebody should be doing for you…

…that you aren't paying attention to what you could actually do.

Be the person who says, “I'll handle it.”

Then actually fucking handle it.

Don't make somebody chase you down.

Don't do half the job and expect twice the recognition.

Do it right.

Follow through.

Then do it again.

That's how you build trust.

That's how you become valuable.

That's how you give people a reason to come to you when a bigger opportunity shows up.

Not because you told them you were ready.

Because you proved they could count on you.

Everybody wants the rewards that come with a great opportunity.

Very few people want the responsibility that comes with earning them.

You don't get to separate the two.

So before you complain that nobody ever gives you a chance…

Take an honest look at all the shit you've been unwilling to take responsibility for.

You might realize you've been walking past your chance every day.
