If you live your life in avoidance of losing...
You will never accomplish anything of real significance.
Yes ... losing is going to suck.
Yes ... losing is going to hurt.
Yes ... losing is going to make you angry.
But by removing losing from the table...
You eliminate the valuable lessons that give you the opportunity to improve.
...and it's through these opportunities that you are able to refine your approach and build the skills necessary to win in the long run.
Like it or not...
It's the truth.
I can't even tell you how many times I've lost...
It's been far too many times to even keep track.
What I can tell you is that I've learned a hell of a lot more about winning and success from my losses than I ever have from my wins.
Understand that when it comes to winning...
Knowing what NOT to do is just as important, if not more important, than knowing what to do…
Which is why it makes me fucking sick that we are raising generation after generation on the idea that they will always win as long as they compete.
That is false.
The real world does not give anybody a participation trophy.
The real world gives trophies to the people who win.
So why would we teach them anything different.
We shouldn't.
Don't be afraid of losing.
It will paralyze you from taking the actions required to make progress.
If you fall into that trap...
It will cost you everything.
