Society will tell you that "humility" is living a life of mediocrity...
So when you step out of line...
And do anything remotely successful...
You'll get bombarded by people who aren't doing shit...
Telling you that you're not humble...
Not modest...
And a million other comments about how you’re “supposed to act.”
True humility actually serves a great purpose...
Recognizing that no matter how good you are, you're not "better" than anybody else...
And understanding that you can always learn and improve yourself.
But far too many people let society's definition of humility paralyze them from taking action and building the life they truly desire...
And there is nothing noble about that.
It's better to go after your dreams and be stoned to death, than be a scared little hypocrite living under the protection of the "Humble Tree" for the rest of your life.
Humility is a tool to help you learn and improve...
Not an excuse for lack of action or giving up.
