"You have to wake up early every morning if you want to be successful."
False.
"You need nice, expensive things to enjoy life."
False.
"You need a college degree in order to have a great career."
False.
I could give you thousands of examples just like these...
All of which are common misconceptions about success and life in general.
My point is this...
You can't generalize what makes people happy or successful in life.
What works for you, may not work for someone else.
That's okay.
I rarely wake up early...
I see people all the time … people far less successful than me who say it’s impossible…
IMPOSSIBLE…
…to be successful if you don’t wake up super early.
My point: I’ve come to realize most of these people are full of shit.
Most of them are parroting what they think they are supposed to say in order to appear to be something in the world of the internet … which ain’t always real.
Very few are speaking from experience.
Take their advice with a grain of salt.
Don't let anybody give you a prescription for living your life.
Taking someone else’s idea of what success and happiness looks like will only get you so far.
At some point you gotta really dig deep inside and figure out what winning is to you.
What is winning to you?
Feel free to emulate people whose lives you admire, but unless you get clarity on what YOUR PERSONAL winning looks like … you’ll always feel unfulfilled and anxious…
…and like a fraud.
Figure out what works for YOU…
...then go hard as fuck on it.
…and find peace in the fact that it’s impossible to beat someone who understands that winning is a daily journey, not a life journey.
So win today.
All of you can do that.
