What Would Your Ancestors Think?

If your ancestors could look at the life you are living...

What would they think about it?

This is something I think about a lot...

...and I can honestly say I sleep well at night knowing I give my fucking best.

Oftentimes I give too much and it bugs me in ways I never talk about.

It hurts...

It's hard...

It frustrates me...

People take advantage of me…

...and I struggle with it a lot.

Honestly, it fucking sucks sometimes.

My hope is my grandfather who was killed as a young man in France after storming the beach at Normandy in WWII and the many others like him aren't regretful for their sacrifice when they watch me live.

I hope there is some way they know that some of us still give a fuck...

Value their sacrifice...

...and try to repay them by living a life that matters.

I try to repay them with how I live...

...and while I'm very far from perfect...

I give it everything.

That gives me some peace.
