What I Look For When I Read A Book...

Bookshelf with books

You ever read an entire book and think “I didn’t get anything out of that...what a waste of time”?

Because I never have.

Sure, there’s some books I’ve read that I got more out of than others...

But do you know what I’m looking for when I read a book?

One sentence.

One sentence that gives me a new idea, or helps me think of things a different way.

If I get that...the book was worth reading.

So the next time you pick up a book, try looking for that one thing that you can take away.

Then go onto the next book, and the next book, and so on.

You’ll never find all the answers in a single book...

But if you read a lot of books, you can piece together the answers for yourself.
