Every single unit of energy you spend worrying about what other people think of you ... is a unit of energy you won't have to improve yourself, win, and do bad ass shit.
Regardless of what you do…
Regardless of how hard you try…
Regardless of your good intentions…
You could walk on water…
You could cure cancer…
…and some people will always believe the story they tell themselves about you over the story your actions tell the world.
Lots of reasons for this, but if you are committed to a path that doesn’t fall into the class of mediocrity you will find yourself as the villain in other people’s story from time to time.
It’s just the way it is.
My recommendation is to spend your time & energy elsewhere.
Do the best you can.
Legitimately no bullshit your best.
Improve when you fuck up.
Do your best to make things right.
Keep it moving and be mindful of your energy.
When you start utilizing that same energy to build your life in a productive way...
You will put yourself at a massive advantage in the long run.
The sooner you can develop this discipline...
The sooner you can drown out the noise and focus on what really matters.
Most people can’t manage their energy properly and it costs them a whole lot more than they realize.
Trust me when I say you don't want to be the person who wasted their opportunity to become great because of what "they" had to say...
"They" are irrelevant.
Fuck “they.”
Spend your energy becoming undeniably great in all areas of your life and everything will be just fine.
