Growing up, we're all sold the lie that "as long as you try your best, everything will be alright."
But let me ask you something...
If you go out into the real world...
Do "your best"...
...and get your fucking ass beat...
Do you really think that everything will just magically turn out alright for you?
No. It won’t.
…and no matter how many feel good cliché sayings you tell yourself it won’t fix it.
The real world doesn't give a fuck if you did your best or not...
It will judge you based on your skills, your wins and your losses.
That's it.
I'm not saying that you shouldn't try to do your best...
But if your best isn't enough to win...
You better get fucking busy working to become better.
Far too many people celebrate and hang their hat on their little moral victory of "doing their best" as a way to let themselves off the hook.
The truth is, these people are delusional and they will always lose.
Most people just aren't willing to go out...
Put in the work...
...and develop the skills it takes to actually win.
They are too busy making themselves feel good with bullshit.
Quit trying to do your best...
Start working on becoming the best.
That's when you'll start winning.
