Own Your Mistakes

Regardless of how great you are or how great you become...

There are going to be times when you make mistakes.

Even if you only make one small mistake...

Miss one opportunity...

Or slip up just once...

People are going to take notice … and dismiss every other great thing you've done for them up to that point.

This is especially true when it comes to the people you lead.

There's an old saying that goes like this...

“Being a good person is like being a goaltender. No matter how many goals you save, some people will only remember the one that you missed.”

It’s not fair … but it’s reality.

So what should you do?

Here’s my advice…

Be who you say you're going to be and do what you say you're going to do.

Don't just say it...

LIVE IT.

...and when you fuck up...

Which you will...

Own it and fix it.

Anything less, and you will always be remembered as the goalie who missed.
