People always ask me why I say “I'm excited for you” instead of “I'm proud of you”.
I've decided to address that question today.
I say “I'm excited for you” because we are always a work in progress.
There is much more to come, and I know that.
When someone does a good job or has a big accomplishment, I understand it's the culmination of a long period of effort and growth.
I know they have developed the skill of endurance & perseverance through many many trials & failures.
I know it's adding to the skillsets they will carry with them the rest of their lives, and now they are much better equipped to win and build a fulfilling & successful life...
And that's fucking exciting.
