Great Leaders Don't Celebrate Mediocrity

Andy speaking on stage

If you're a leader...

Read this carefully...

QUIT CELEBRATING MEDIOCRITY.

Most of you are trying so hard to build someone up…

That you instill a false sense of confidence in them.

This actually ends up ruining them.

Your job is to help them grow...

Teach them what they need to do...

Hold them accountable...

Let them fail...

And show them where they screwed up.

Your job is NOT to award subpar performance because they "tried their best"...

Or tell them "it's okay" for putting in half-ass work.

Let them EARN their confidence.

Let them EARN their self-esteem.

Tell them the TRUTH…

Even when it hurts.

That’s what a great leader does

“Accepting” and “celebrating” mediocrity only damages the team…

And the person you are coaching.

This ultimately prevents both of you from growing.

Tell the truth...

Give them the tools...

And watch them fulfill their own true potential.
