Everyday I get messages which read something like this…
"Andy, I want to start a business, but I don’t know how to ________."
They fill in the blank with something they don’t know how to do.
"I don’t know how to order inventory."
"I don’t know how to talk to people."
"I don’t know how to hire employees."
Let me tell you a secret…
When I started my business back in 1999, I DIDN’T KNOW ANY OF THOSE THINGS EITHER!
I was just a 19-year-old kid with dreams and determination to make something out of myself.
I learned most things along the way.
I still do.
To this very day...
I don’t have all the answers.
No one ever will.
But just sitting down and telling yourself that you don’t know how to do 1000 different things isn’t going to do any good.
Instead, assess the situation…
Go in the field…
Get your hands dirty…
Win some, lose some…
Come back…
Reassess and recalibrate…
Then go out and do it all over again.
...and keep doing it for a long time.
That’s how winning is done.
Embrace the uncertainty…
Enjoy the process of becoming…
When NOTHING is certain…
ANYTHING is possible.
