When someone I know goes out and does a great job or accomplishes some cool shit...
I never say "I'm proud of you."
Instead … I say "I'm excited for you."
I say this because I understand we are all a work in progress...
...and there is much more that these people will accomplish IF they keep their foot on the gas.
The same can be said for you.
Your biggest wins to this point are the result of the effort and growth it took for you to achieve those things...
Which also means you're capable of achieving much bigger and better things in the future...
...as long as you continue pursuing your potential.
That's exciting as fuck.
But if you're constantly being patted on the back...
...why would you feel the need to continue pushing forward?
You wouldn't.
That's my point.
Don't be proud...
Be excited...
...and make sure you are continually adding to your skill set.
Doing so will equip you to win and accomplish more than you ever thought possible.
