Everyone has their “thing”.
Mine is cars.
Ever since I was a little boy it was always cars.
Hot Wheels.
Micro Machines.
R/C cars.
Go carts.
Models.
Car posters.
Car magazines.
Cars aren't just something I buy because I can afford it and want to show off (but if they were that's ok too)...they are in my blood.
There were a thousand times I would have quit had my passion for cars not been there.
Driving me.
Pushing me through the toughest times.
I know that may not make sense...but replace “cars” for me with whatever it is you are truly passionate about.
Sure, my motivations are different now.
My motivations have evolved over the last 20 years.
These days I get FAR more excited seeing my people buy a new car or a new home or do the things that are important to them.
But there are A LOT of people who wouldn't have jobs if I didn't have the passion for cars I do.
So remember it's ok to have material motivations...whatever they may be....just make sure they don’t become your only motivations.
