When someone you know goes out and does a great job or accomplishes some cool shit...
Don't say "I'm proud of you."
Instead, say "I'm excited for you."
Here's why...
When you go out and reach a goal...
It's normal to want to feel proud of yourself.
These wins are the result of your effort and growth over time.
That also means that as you continue to put in the work and improve upon your skill set...
You will be capable of achieving far bigger and better things in the future.
That's exciting as fuck.
But if you're constantly patting yourself on the back and telling yourself how proud you are...
Why would you ever feel the need to keep improving?
That's my point.
Be excited.
There are big wins in your future.
Don't let your pride keep you from them.
