Doing your best for yourself is one thing...
Understanding that your actions influence the people around you that you love and doing your best for them is another.
As I've gotten older and matured (slightly)...
I've progressed from the first scenario to the second.
Am I perfect?
Absolutely not.
There are days where I know my example wasn't the best I could give.
...But...
When I'm doing it for the people around me and not just myself...
The days I miss the mark are far less.
The days I miss now are probably 90% less than when I was just thinking about me.
The game changes drastically when you move from "self" to "selfless."
Be your best.
Do your best.
Pull people along with you.
Show them the way through your actions.
Never forget if you quit...
They will quit.
Keep this in mind, and you'll go a lot further...
Make a much bigger impact...
...and live a fulfilling and successful life you'll be proud of.
