Our youth is taught that "as long as you do your best, everything will be okay."
But the real world doesn't care that you “did your best.”
...and it will NEVER reward you for doing so.
The real world has winners and losers.
If your best isn't enough to win in the real world...
You better focus on getting better…
If you don't...
Be prepared to get your ass beat … because the world will show you no mercy.
Celebrating your little moral victory of trying your best ain't it.
You know what "I did my best" really is?
It's your way of avoiding the struggle that comes with developing your skillset … and doing the shit you need to do to get better.
If you truly want everything to be okay...
Quit trying to do your best.
Start striving to be the literal best you are capable of being.
There is no other way.
