Self-Care Requires Discipline

Self-care has nothing to do with comfort...

Softness...

...and letting yourself off the hook for poor behavior.

You know the truth.

You know that if you actually "cared" and respected yourself...

You would never lower your standards and "treat yourself" to complacency.

You would never negotiate with weakness.

You would never cut corners.

You would never tolerate over-indulgence in comfort.

Real self-care requires discipline.

It’s showing up and executing when you don’t feel like it.

It’s pushing yourself past the point of complete exhaustion.

It's fueling your body properly.

It's holding a high standard.

It's keeping your word.

It's doing what’s required so your future self doesn’t have to pay the price for complacency.

Most people aren't looking for real self-care.

They want relief.

They want escape.

They want permission to stay average without feeling guilty about it.

You don’t need relief from a life you’re proud of.

You only need to escape from a life you’re tolerating.

You have two choices:

Raise your standards and build something you don’t need a break from.

Or keep lying to yourself and calling regression “healing.”

Real self-care builds you.
