Most people only become urgent when it's already too late.
They see the problem.
They recognize the warning signs.
Instead of taking immediate action...
They brush it off.
"I'll handle it tomorrow."
"It's not that big of a deal."
These people operate with something I call Selective Urgency.
They ignore their problems over and over until they become too big to ignore...
Which is when they finally start to act with urgency.
Only ... It's far too late.
The opportunity to fix the problem has come and gone.
We see this everywhere.
The relationship that slowly dies until one day they're handed divorce papers.
The health issues ignored until the condition becomes terminal.
The business problems downplayed until bankruptcy knocks on the front door.
By the time these people finally decide to get urgent and aggressive about finding a solution...
Their opportunity has already come and gone.
...and the damage caused from their inaction is irreversible.
If you don't want your life to be the same shit show as everybody else's...
I recommend you avoid Selective Urgency and learn to operate with the appropriate urgency all the time.
Not just when you "feel" like it.
Always.
Winners address their problems the moment they are identified.
They don't procrastinate or kick the can down the road...
They take immediate and aggressive action.
Address your problems with urgency…immediately.
Attack them.
Make this a non-negotiable habit.
Your inability to do so will have massive consequences.
Never say I didn't warn you.
