Allow me to be very clear about something...
Nobody feels happy all the time.
Absolutely nobody.
...and anyone who tries to convince you otherwise is full of shit.
Having the expectation that you should always be in a happy and care-free mood is unrealistic and quite truthfully ridiculous.
We all have days where we feel like shit.
We all have days where we don't want to do the work.
So quit making "happiness" the primary objective for your existence.
Make building a life of success and fulfillment your objective.
How much happier will you be once you've built that life vs trading it for what's "fun" and will make you "happy" in the short term?
For me the answer is infinitely more.
If you want a life of true happiness and fulfillment...
It comes at a price.
That price is years of discomfort...
Years of struggle...
...and years of deferring happiness now to earn a much happier and more fulfilling life down the road.
The choice is yours.
You can sit on your ass...
Do what will make you "happy" and comfortable now...
...and live in a constant state of disappointment with yourself and your life.
Or...
You can defer happiness now for a far more happy and fulfilling life in the future.
It's one or the other.
Never both.
...and even though you may not always be happy...
I can promise you this:
It's extremely difficult not to be happy when you've put in the work to build an extraordinary life for yourself.
That's the truth.
