There are really only two ways you’re going to learn anything:
1. You fuck it up yourself.
2. You learn from somebody who already fucked it up and figured it out.
Experience is the best teacher.
But borrowing the experience of people who are further down the road can save you years of unnecessary pain, mistakes and wasted time.
That’s why reading is one of the most valuable habits you can build.
Find the books written by people who have already done the shit you’re trying to do.
Read them.
Study them.
Learn from their mistakes.
Learn from their decisions.
Learn how they think.
Then take those lessons and apply them.
Books are one of the most powerful and underutilized tools available to you.
I’m not exaggerating when I tell you that the knowledge I’ve gained from books has completely changed the trajectory of my life.
And I’m not talking about reading some Harry Potter bullshit so you can escape reality for a few hours.
I’m talking about books that give you access to decades of experience from people who have already traveled the road you’re trying to travel.
Think about that.
For 20 bucks and a few hours of your time…
You can learn lessons that took somebody else 10, 20 or 30 years to figure out.
That’s an insane advantage.
Those books can change the way you see problems.
They can give you perspective.
They can teach you skills.
They can expose weaknesses you didn’t even know you had.
And sometimes…
One sentence can completely change the way you approach your life.
I’ve had that happen more times than I can count.
So don’t overcomplicate this shit.
Read 10 pages every single day.
10 fucking pages.
Anybody can do that.
And if you do it consistently…
The knowledge starts to compound.
Your perspective compounds.
Your skills compound.
Your understanding compounds.
And over time…
You create an enormous advantage over the people who decided they were “too busy” to keep learning.
Start today.
Keep going.
And never stop learning.
Because the second you decide you’re done learning…
You’ve decided you’re done growing.
