Burnout rarely has anything to do with being "overly stressed"...
"Over-worked"...
...Or whatever other bullshit you read about on social media.
These people are soft.
They are not like you.
They are not after what you are after.
They have very little in common with you and if you subscribe to their thinking you will be miserable.
Warriors need a war.
A big one.
So when you find yourself feeling "burned out"...
Ask yourself these two questions…
1. Do you have a realistic expectation of the work it's going to take for you to get wherever it is you're trying to go?
Not every day is going to be fun and exciting...
In fact ... very few will be.
Winning is hard as fuck and most days are going to feel like an uphill battle.
If this isn't your expectation...
You'll be bitching and crying about burnout the minute things start to get difficult.
2. Are your goals big enough to get you to continue showing up to execute every day?
Setting goals that are small and attainable...
...or being unclear about your purpose and what it is you're working to accomplish...
Is a recipe that guarantees you will always feel burned out.
Adjust your expectations...
Cast a massive vision for the life you want to build...
...and show up every day to execute on the plan required to get you there.
Yeah, you might feel “tired” now & then but when you remember what you are after and what you are doing all this for the typical “burned out” feeling won’t be present.
