History Is Reserved for the Winners

Can you name a single person who's won a bronze medal at the Olympics?

Didn’t think so.

...but I'm sure you can name plenty of people who've won the gold.

I know I can.

Why?

Because history remembers the winners.

Not the second-place finisher...

Not the honorable mention...

Not the person who tried really hard but came up short...

The undisputed champions.

Want your name to survive long past your time on Earth?

You have to win.

That will require you to execute at a level that most people could never comprehend for themselves.

Statues aren't built for "almost".

Books aren't written for "close".

Stories aren't told about "pretty good".

History is reserved for those who were ruthless...

Uncompromising...

...and undeniable.

Mediocrity is a crowded graveyard.

One that nobody celebrates or talks about.

If you want to separate yourself from the rest of the tombstones with a name engraved on it...

Win.

It's the only way.
