Greatness Isn’t Reserved for the Gifted

You don’t need to be the smartest.

You don't need to be the strongest.

You don't need to be the fastest.

You don’t need to be the most talented.

For 99.99% of us...

The above statements are certainly true.

...but that's not why most people lose.

Most people lose because they allow these things to be the reason why they never even fucking try...

Which is disappointing.

Because one thing we all have is potential...

Which is far more important than anything else.

All the people you see winning?

They don't have anything special that you don't.

They were willing to show up and pursue their potential regardless of the conditions.

When it got boring...

When it got uncomfortable...

When the odds were stacked against them...

When nobody clapped or cheered...

When they were repeatedly told "no"...

When they could have quit and nobody would have blamed them...

That's the separator.

Potential exists in every one of us.

...but you must understand this:

You will never recognize your potential until you start taking steps forward and it becomes clear to you just how much you've been holding back.

Greatness isn’t reserved for the gifted.

It’s earned by the people who refuse to stop working before they find out how good they can actually become.

Most people never get close.

Not because they can’t…

Because they won't.
