Give Yourself No Other Options

When you're first starting out in business or in becoming the person you envision yourself as in the future...

It's easy to push forward.

When your back is against the wall...

You don't have any other choice.

It's when you start making progress...

Start earning a little money...

Start stacking a few wins...

That's when complacency can start to creep in.

The compromises you make will start small.

"I don't have to" take that call.

"I don't have to" send that email.

"I don't have to" address that problem with urgency.

"I don't have to" take care of the extra details.

"I don't have to" sharpen my skill set.

The minute you surrender to these thoughts and compromises will be the minute you lose.

Winners do not give themselves options.

Winners do not cut themselves slack when things are going well.

Winners do not have a Plan B.

They operate every single day as if they have nothing and capitalize on every single opportunity as if it's the only one they’ll get.

Having a lack of options is the ultimate motivator because it forces you to get creative and do everything in your power to ensure your success.

Even if you do have other options...

I would learn to convince yourself otherwise.

Having a backup plan is the best way to keep yourself from going all in on your real goals.

Execute every single day as if your back is against the wall and you have nothing.

Because if you don't...

You'll end up with nothing.
