Every “No” Is an Investment in Your Future

Most people act like building a great life is some miserable process that requires significant sacrifice.

...and the truth is...

You will have to eliminate certain habits if you want to get wherever it is you're trying to go.

Stop thinking of that in terms of sacrifice.

Start thinking of it in terms of investment.

When you make the decision to skip the happy hours...

...and all of the shit that's keeping you stuck...

You aren't actually missing out on anything.

You're simply choosing to make investments in the habits and actions that will bring you closer to your long-term goals instead.

Losers focus on what they're "missing out" on today.

Winners focus on what they'll gain in the future.

...and what they'll gain is far more valuable than anything they say "no" to in the present.

It's not a loss.

It's a trade.

Which means there is no sacrifice.

So quit thinking of it as one.

It's an investment.

...and every time you choose to make those investments instead of caving to short-term gratification...

You're piecing together a future that most people will never have because they aren't willing to make those same investments.

Remember that.
