Defeating vs Winning

Holding up trophy

Most people think “defeating” and “winning” are the same thing…

But they’re not … there’s a big difference.

While I don’t disapprove of the idea of defeating your competition…

When your focus is only to defeat who is against you at a given moment…

You never concentrate on playing your best game, because you are busy focusing on playing only 1 notch better than your competition.

In turn, you are not reaching your own true potential.

Think about that.

Instead, when you focus on winning, and winning big…

Your focus shifts to giving the best you can with every ounce of energy you have, regardless of the opposition in front of you.

When you play to win, you are not satisfied by just defeating your opponents…

You are only satisfied when you know you played your best game.
