Confidence isn’t something you're born with or “discover.”
It’s something you produce through your actions and kept promises.
You don’t get confidence from affirmations.
You don't get it from mantras.
You don’t get it from faking it for long enough.
None of that shit will build real authentic confidence.
Your mind keeps score.
It knows when you’re lying to yourself.
Real confidence comes from evidence.
Evidence that you do what you say you’re going to do.
Evidence that you show up when it’s inconvenient.
Evidence that you solve problems instead of avoiding them.
Evidence that you’re getting better and not just talking about it.
That’s it.
Every rep you take...
Promise you keep...
Task you complete...
They are deposits.
Your confidence is the balance.
Which means your deposits need to be frequent and undeniable.
Notice how I say frequent.
You can't make a single deposit and expect yourself to be confident.
Confidence is perishable.
The moment you stop executing...
Negotiating with yourself...
...and allowing your standards to slide...
Is the moment your confidence will start to drain.
If you don't feel confident right now...
Quit asking yourself what's wrong with you.
Ask yourself what actions you have or haven't been taking to build your confidence into what it is today.
That will give you all the answers you need.
